Class Overview

Latin Grammar: Level 2 builds upon the foundation established in Level 1 by expanding students’ vocabulary, memory verses, and understanding of grammatical concepts. Recognizing that extensive exposure is essential to language acquisition, this course emphasizes weekly storytelling that introduces new vocabulary in context. Students will also encounter words from unfamiliar declensions and will learn their forms based on their grammatical roles within each sentence. In addition, students will continue to strengthen their memorization of John 1 in both English and Latin, while refining their classical Latin pronunciation.

Course Objectives

• Expand working Latin vocabulary through weekly thematic storytelling.

• Memorize and recite additional verses from John 1 in both English and Latin.

• Deepen understanding of Latin grammar, including exposure to new declensions.

• Identify and explain the grammatical role of unfamiliar words within Latin sentences.

• Develop greater fluency in classical Latin pronunciation.

• Strengthen recall and application of Level 1 grammatical concepts.

• Build confidence in reading and interpreting Latin passages in context.
  

Class Schedule

Classes meet once weekly on Fridays from 3:15–4:15 p.m. The course runs for 13 weeks, beginning in early September and continuing through December, with a break during Thanksgiving week.

Class Price

While the regular price for a class at Tyndale Classical Institute is $650 per term, the institute is offering an 80% Scholarship for the Fall 2025 term to allow families to “test the waters” and see what Tyndale Classical Institute is all about.

So, the price for a class in the Fall 2025 term is $130.
