Beginner Latin: Level 1 offers an introduction to the world of language learning to students ages 9–12. Tyndale Classical Institute uses a unique approach to language education by pairing grammar with real, comprehensible examples in the target language. Students don’t merely memorize tables and songs, they gain fluency in the language while also mentally forming the language’s grammatical structure. This makes for an incredibly joyful and effective Latin education.
This class is for students with no experience in Latin, but it’s also for students who have studied Latin but have lost interest and motivation. The aim of this class is to give your student a great introduction to the language while also teaching them about the joy of language learning.
Begin mastering the basics of the Latin case system.
Build a vocabulary of ~100 Latin words.
Develop a love of learning Latin and language.
Complete Picta Dicta Primer 1, Lessons 1–15.
Course meeting time: Wednesdays from 9:40–10:40 a.m.
